The ranking-gap model
It takes each player's ATP/WTA ranking (ESPN) and applies a logistic model over the ranking gap: the wider the gap, the higher the probability of the better-ranked player.
A fair price, because there's no market
Here's the difference with football and baseball: books don't price most ATP/WTA 250 events. Instead, the AI publishes a fair price = 1 ÷ probability, and picks modest favourites (56%–67%) to respect the 1.50 floor.
Minimum odds of 1.50
No tennis pick is published below 1.50. That rules out heavy favourites at tiny prices.
Automatic resolution
Each pick auto-resolves from the ESPN winner. If a player retires or the match isn't played, the pick is voided (stake returned).
