How to read the numbers in 30 seconds

To pick an AI's best sport, counting hits isn't enough.
| Number | What it is | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Win rate | The percentage of picks that came in. | Compare it with what the odds implied (implied probability). |
| ROI | Net profit ÷ money wagered, using each pick's stake. | It's the same ROI Results shows when you filter. |
| ± (margin) | How far the ROI can move by chance alone (95% confidence). | If it's larger than the ROI, it can't be told apart from luck yet. |
| vs odds | Win-rate points above or below what the odds implied. | If it's positive, the AI beat the odds on those picks. |
| Picks | The sample: how many picks are behind each number. | More picks, more reliable. Only groups with a big enough sample enter the ranking. |
With few picks, the ROI swings wildly, which is why the ranking doesn't get carried away by a nice-looking number.
In Gambeta: reviews performance is calculated at a flat stake (always betting the same amount), so the figures don't match this series, which uses each pick's stake just like Results does.
Matching the odds is already hard: they are the toughest opponent in betting.
Gambeta manages it overall and pulls ahead of them in a few corners, which are the ones we show below with their margin of error.

⚾ Baseball (MLB)
✅ Positive even with the margin
🌟 The best of ⚾ Baseball (MLB)
- Team bet on: San Diego Padres: 3 of 4 correct (75%).
The samples are small: they're for keeping an eye on, not for promising anything.
−60%0+60%
Likely ROI range: from +0.1% to +34.2%. The white dot is the current ROI; the yellow band shows how far it could move by chance alone.
In a 145-pick sample it won 55.9% and the odds implied 51.1%.
That is 4.7 points above what the odds implied.
Even after subtracting the margin of error, the ROI is still positive.
It was positive in both halves of the track record (+14.5% and +19.8%).
In baseball the AI picks the winner of the game based on each team's strength (runs, record and streak). It doesn't publish an MLB pick without knowing the starting pitchers and the series. More in AI for baseball betting.
Too good to be true?
An ROI of +17.2% sounds too good, and doubting it is healthy.
We take it seriously for three reasons: the sample is 145 picks, it was positive in both halves of the track record and it hit more often than the odds implied.
What we can't promise yet is that it will last: its margin is ±17.1.
We publish that margin on purpose, so you can check it yourself and don't have to take our word for it.

The samples are small: they're for keeping an eye on, not for promising anything.
−60%0+60%
Likely ROI range: from −7.2% to +4.3%. The white dot is the current ROI; the yellow band shows how far it could move by chance alone.
In a 1037-pick sample it won 56.7% and the odds implied 57.8%.
That is 1.1 points below what the odds implied.
It can't be told apart from luck yet, because the margin (±5.8) is larger than the ROI.
It was negative in both halves of the track record (−1.4% and −1.5%).
It's by far the sport with the most history, so its reading is the most reliable. The AI mixes its model (expected goals, form, injuries) with the market price. Football odds are very sharp, which is why matching them is already an achievement. More in AI for football betting.

In a 120-pick sample it won 55.8% and the odds implied 56.5%.
That is 0.7 points below what the odds implied.
It can't be told apart from luck yet, because the margin (±18.2) is larger than the ROI.
It flipped sign between the first half (−11.9%) and the second (+8.6%): it still needs more data.
The model compares each player's ranking position. It weights that according to the tournament category (Grand Slam, Masters, ATP 500 or 250). More in AI for tennis betting.

Extra: sports in BETA, with incomplete data
Some sports don't make the ranking yet, for one reason only: they have few picks.
We don't hide them: here they are with all their numbers, the good and the bad.
When a sport reaches 50 settled picks, it enters the ranking on its own under the same rules as the rest.
| Sport | Picks | Win rate | vs odds | ROI (±95%) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| · | 🏒 Hockey (NHL) | 29 | 58.6% | +5.6 pts | +13.0% (±35.4) |
🏒 Hockey (NHL)
🟡 Promising: needs more data
−60%0+60%
Likely ROI range: from −22.3% to +48.4%. The white dot is the current ROI; the yellow band shows how far it could move by chance alone.
In a 29-pick sample it won 58.6% and the odds implied 53.0%.
That is 5.6 points above what the odds implied.
It can't be told apart from luck yet, because the margin (±35.4) is larger than the ROI.
It flipped sign between the first half (−1.3%) and the second (+26.4%): it still needs more data.
It started on Sep 29 and already has 29 picks.
27 of those 29 picks are player props.
The second half of its track record was better than the first (+26.4% versus −1.3%).
The start is promising: if it holds up with more picks, you'll see it climb the ranking.
Once it reaches 50 settled picks it enters this ranking on its own, under the same rules as the rest.
Too good to be true?
An ROI of +13.0% from only 29 picks sounds too good to be true.
That's why we left it out of the ranking: with so few picks, a single streak changes everything (margin ±35.4).
We still show it, because we'd rather you see it with its warning than hide it.
That's the difference between a track record you can verify and one that is only advertised.

Coming up: basketball, MMA and more
Basketball and MMA have their own model and are waiting for their first weeks of settled picks.
Boxing, cycling and esports are listed as “coming soon” in the app.
None of those sports has results yet, so we don't promise anything about them.
What we do promise is that, once they have results, you'll see them here with their margin of error, win or lose.
Data as of , from the public track record (pick by pick in the open CSV). ROI = net profit ÷ money wagered, using each pick's stake: it is the same ROI the Results page shows when you filter (it doesn't include the long-term World Cup bets). The margin (±) is the 95% margin for chance: if it is larger than the ROI, the difference can't yet be told apart from luck. It updates itself every day and is not a recommendation of where to bet.
How the AI analyzes each sport
The AI doesn't use the same model for every sport.
| Sport | What the AI looks at | Typical markets | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| ⚽ Football | Expected goals (xG), form, injuries and the market price | 1X2, double chance, goals, both teams to score | Live |
| ⚾ Baseball | Each team's strength (runs, record, streak), starting pitchers and the series | Match winner | Live |
| 🎾 Tennis | Each player's ranking position and the tournament category | Match winner | Live |
| 🏒 Hockey | Each player's recent performance against the bookmaker's line | Player props (shots) | BETA |
| 🏈 NFL | Each player's recent performance against the bookmaker's line | Player props (receptions, yards) | BETA |
The best sport isn't the one that hits the most
A sport can hit 60% and lose money, and another can hit 55% and win.
What decides it is the odds.
| If the picks pay… | To avoid losing you need to hit… | Odds example |
|---|---|---|
| Low odds | A lot | 1.40 → more than 71% |
| Medium odds | More than half | 1.80 → more than 56% |
| High odds | Quite a bit less | 3.00 → more than 33% |
That's why every row of the ranking shows the win rate and what the odds implied.
The second point is the sample: football has far more picks than any other sport, which is why it has the smallest margin of error.
A new sport can show a spectacular ROI without that meaning anything yet.
Why you can trust the numbers (and check them)
A track record that only shows the good isn't useful for making decisions.
That's why we publish everything, with its margin of error, and give you the tools to check it.
| What we do | How you check it |
|---|---|
| ✅ Every pick is logged before the match | In the track record, with its odds and its date. |
| ✅ Nothing is deleted: hits and misses both stay | Results shows them all, the ❌ too. |
| ✅ The full track record can be downloaded | There's an open CSV, pick by pick. |
| ✅ Every ranking comes with its margin of error | Look at the “ROI (±95%)” column. |
| ✅ The numbers recalculate themselves every day | The date of the data is at the foot of each table. |
That transparency is the foundation of the product: what you see is what there is.
How to see this ranking yourself on Results
You don't have to take our word for it: the same data is on the Results page, pick by pick.
- Go to Results (the “Results” button in the menu).
- Open the Sport filter in the bar.
- Choose an option: the cards at the top and the chart recalculate. If you want to compare against the whole track record, go back to “All”.
- Always look at how many picks are behind the number.
The guide to the five filters is in how to use the Results filters.
What to do with this ranking
- Use the ranking to decide how much to trust each sport, not to bet only on the first one on the list.
- Where there are more picks, the reading is firmer: you can lean on it more.
- Where there are few (the BETA sports), treat the number as a promise still to be confirmed and use a small stake.
- Keep your own record: your personal ROI is the one that matters for your money (how to use My Panel).
None of this is a promise of profit: no AI hits every time.
Only play what you can afford to lose and see how to bet responsibly.

What is the best sport to bet on with AI?
According to Gambeta's track record, the one that currently tops the ranking above. The ranking goes from highest to lowest ROI, among the sports with enough picks, and it is recalculated every day. With few picks any sport can end up first by luck, so it's worth always checking the margin.
Which sport does the AI hit the most in?
The win rate alone isn't enough to choose a sport: you have to compare it with what the odds implied. The table above shows each sport's win rate, and every card compares it with what the odds implied.
Why isn't hockey in the ranking?
Because it's very new: it has few settled picks and most are player props. With such a small sample, its ROI could be pure streak. We show it separately, with its numbers, and it enters the ranking on its own once it reaches 50 settled picks.
Is it a good idea to bet only on the best-performing sport?
Not necessarily. A sport with few picks can come first by chance. The prudent approach is to give more trust where there's more track record and less where there's little, and to manage your bankroll with a flat stake.
How often is the ranking updated?
Every day. The ranking is recalculated from the public track record, so when new picks settle the numbers change and, sometimes, the positions too. The date of the data is at the foot of the tables.
