Dangerous attacks: the best simple indicator
It counts entries into the final third with real progression. A team stacking up dangerous attacks over the last ten minutes is about to produce something: a shot, a corner, a foul near the box. It is the indicator that correlates best with the next event and the one that moves fastest.
Crosses into the box and recent corners
The two travel together. A team that decides to attack down the flanks produces crosses, and crosses bounce off defenders and end up as corners. If there have been several crosses in the last five minutes, the probability of an immediate corner rises without the scoreline changing at all.
Blocked shots: pressure the summary hides
A blocked shot does not show up as a shot on target, but it tells you the team got into the box to strike the ball. Added to dangerous attacks, it describes a siege. Many summary stat feeds bury it, and that is where information useful for short markets gets lost.
The two that arrive late
Cumulative match possession, which moves slowly and says nothing about the last stretch. And the scoreline, which is the result of what has already happened. If your in-play decision depends on the score, you are reacting to the past with a price that has already adjusted.
The practical problem: it is eight matches at once
